QuizBuzz is run by Harry Walsh, who is the data controller. We collect as little as possible.

Hosts

If you create an account, we store your email address, the quizzes you write, the games you run and your plan. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We use your email to send sign-in links and receipts, and very occasionally about your account. We don't send marketing without asking first.

Players

Players don't need an account. We store the team name they type and their answers as part of the game, and the host can see them. Their phone keeps a small random identifier so it can rejoin the game if the connection drops.

Cookies and analytics

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in, let you control a game you started, and note which website sent you here when you first visit. We count page views without cookies or tracking scripts, and share nothing with advertisers.

Where your data lives

On our own server in Europe. Stripe handles payment data under its own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be deleted, by emailing hello@quizbuzz.co.uk. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
